I totally understand why this product was selected for the Beauty Awards 2012!!!

This is my favorite makeup item, hands-down !! It is a staple in my pocketbook. Some people turn around and go back home if they leave their cellphone, Lashblast is on that same page with me. 

When I got the stores and find the LashBlast double back on sale, its like hitting the lotto. Its a magical moment because I buy more mascaras than most. I have an eye condition, which requires for me to change my mascaras very frequently ( recommended is 3 months). I change my mascara every month. 

I have tried many mascaras, many have been pretty good, maybe even great. But none excel Lashblast. Lashblast makes my eyelashes thick, long, voluptuous and defined. If I apply multiple layers, my lashes remain flawless.

MyGlam (now IPSY)

Today I received my first package from MyGlam (now IPSY). I have to admit that I was kind of confused when I saw a package from IPSY, since I just recently signed up for MyGlam.

The Packaging. The products arrived in a bright pink padded enveloped. Very cute. I plan to re-use the envelop (those retail for about $3.50), so, I was already excited.  I was surprised that the package did not have tissue inside, with a special seal stamp ( but I guess that's how they keep the price at $10/month). 

The Products- VERY GOOD!! These are all products that I will use and they go every well with my complexion. I was surprise at the quality. I was soooo glad I signed up.

Mucinex

Mucinex

I had a cold  for a couple of days and my son as well. We took him to the doctor, and the doc recommend Mucinex . I decided to buy the same for myself.

I had heard wonders about Mucinex , which I would expect at the steeper price tag than its over the counter competitors.

The results were not what I expected. I expected my cold to disappear, not to worsen.  I use public transportation to get to work and work in an office. Unfortunately, the day after taking Mucinex I noticed that I was coughing a LOT and very frequently.  It was annoying others in the office (and drove me crazy). For the next 2 days I had a persistent cough: a thin, watery cough that made me sound like I had contagious cold.  I was definitely getting the “stay away from me looks” in the train. These side effects were very difficult to deal with.  I no longer feel congested, but the phlegm is out of control.  

Therefore I would say that while this product did loosen mucus and help me get rid of it, the difficult and annoying side effects were very undesirable. I would not use the product again.

Pamper me event : Satya Jewerly

Nearly two months ago a close friend if mine delivered her baby.

The baby was delivered at Roosevelt hospital near Columbus circle. I ran to the Wholesfood in the mall to pick up some flowers. One way out I saw this small jewelry shop. The window display had too many pieces that I liked, so I knew it wasn't going to be a two minute browsing session.

Today at The Pamper me event I got to see the jewelry from Satya again!!! ( I didn't know the brand name until today).

Their pieces are genuinely exquisite.

It doesn't matter how much I have on my plate, every year I have made it my year to participate in volunteer events, walks and donate to a cause. Satya is my kind of company, as they  place a heavy emphasis on Philantropy.
